J.M. Business Management Services CC was founded in 1991 by the current Managing Member, Mr James Millar, as an independent management consultancy to small/medium businesses. A need for improved efficiency and productivity existed within client organisation and in order to assist client organisations to improve in these areas, part of the business improvement process followed by J.M. Business Management Services CC involved the recruitment of competent staff for these clients.
In January 1998, Mrs Cecilia Millar identified a need for the establishment of a Recruitment Division within J.M. Business Management Services CC. Much research was done and the foundations were laid for J.M. Business Management Services CC Recruitment Division. Full time recruiters were employed and soon J.M. Business Management Services CC Recruitment became the main focus of the business. Over a 10 year period J.M. Business Management Services CC has used its unique intellectual property to develop customised, user friendly and workable recruitment systems.
In October 1999, J.M. Business Management Services CC grew even further by welcoming Ms Julie Koster to the team as a Consultant and today Ms Koster is a Senior Consultant and Administrative Manager at J.M. Business Management Services CC. Over the next couple of years, the business has grown substantially and a number of well experienced, professional consultants were added to the team.
The year 2012 will be an exciting year in the life of J.M. Business Management Services CC. In the name of continuous growth and excellence in service delivery, a host of new value adding services have been incorporated into the company portfolio. The areas of management consulting and productivity improvement have enjoyed greater focus over the last couple of years and J.M. Business Management Services CC now offers a tried and tested, profit improvement management consulting service to small and medium businesses and to branches and divisions of larger corporations. J.M. Business Management Services CC is also is equipped to provide added Human Resources services – this service is outsourced when needed. A labour relations company assists with all labour law issues and disciplinaries - also outsourced. J.M. Business Management Services CC is now in the process of establishing a new fully Black Empowered Service.
For even greater fulfilment of customer needs and to further ensure that the best people are employed in the right positions, the company has identified a number of essential services, to be included in the company profile. These services are aimed at further enhancing the services provided by the Recruitment Division.
These services that can be outsourced include job and competency profiling, the development and facilitation of client specific training programmes; competency based assessment and psychometrics as well as HR process and policy implementation.
Research has shown that “a wrong placement can cost your company up to 3 x the annual salary and benefits package!” Equally well “an excellent person will generally perform at two to three times the level of an average person.” You might have to pay 20% or 30% more, but this is still a 10 x benefit before tax and approximately 13 xs after tax.
